Is the “Wicked Witch” of globalization and global free trade dead? No, Dorothy, it is changing, and very much alive. The headlines and social media seem to be proclaiming that because of supply chain problems made worse by the global pandemic and trade wars, businesses are “re-shoring” their outsourced staffing (engineering, accounting, legal, IT, etc.), manufacturing, and supply chains. What doesn’t get mentioned is the sheer scale and complexity of the global economy and how difficult it is to unravel what has evolved over the past 20 years. The real fact may be the opposite – globalization is still (slowly) increasing, but in different ways/areas.
Join Charanjeet Gill, partner with PACE, to learn more about how small and medium-sized businesses can leverage opportunities in this changing global marketplace. Charanjeet will provide perspectives on the span and depth of potential resources and support available to small and medium sizes to take advantage of these global opportunities. He will also share strategies that in the past were only available to large corporations and which are now within reach for local companies to find cost-effective ways to run even more profitable businesses.
